Can somebody explain what "glazed" means when not used in relation to doughnuts?

Unless the rotors get sufficiently hot that the metallurgy is changed by the heat, what or how do they become glazed? And is the "glazed" in the metal, or merely a surface coating?

Glazed is one of those terms that has a bunch of different meanings. Like for example the car hack(mechainc) will call it one things a machinist will call it another and a gay porn star well just ask Schmalts.
 
Alright assholes, I am locking this thread. No more bullshit from either of you, schmalts or delw. You guys is trouble makers. I replaed my rotors and brake pads on the forward part of the vehicle. Sot it doesn't mater no mo ho. Thanks for all the gouge. Bjut u guys have taken it to a whole new level. For now on, I am just gonna ask what Jose would do. He is the motha ****in man. Peace.
