After three weeks, my FIL is headed back to Michigan. It's been a treat to have him out here. He's still sporting some old-school waders, but after yesterday's 85 degree fishing trip, I think he sees the value in wet wading.
I took this not so great close up picture of a clarkia plant, then noticed the amazing amount of diversity around it. I can't readily identify many of these plants, but ones that I can include balsam root, stone crop, Idaho fescue (favorite of bighorns), and some douglas fir seedlings, all in area of a couple square feet.
Went up after work Thursday night to sit on a hillside and enjoy the sunset and watch critters , saw 6 or 7 Blacktails and took this pic of the summer moon where is was and of all the deer tracks on the road I walked in on
