True, but you’re not on a waiting list for something that may not happen. I don’t think UM was prepared for the amount of sales they would get, but I bet they figure it out before this other more expensive option even exists.

I think McMillan knows how to make a stock…. Also this particular model is already out in the wild with other inlets. Won’t be that hard to make it for a Tikka.

Their site makes it sound like it’s a lot of effort to make a Tikka version.

I don’t have any skin in this game. I’m just letting people know that there is already a very similar option out there.

I think there are a lot of people who pre-ordered a Rokstok in December 2023, with a 90 day delivery promise, that still don’t have one. I suspect that if you pre-ordered a Mountain Tracker LR right now and ordered a Rokstok when they start taking orders again, you would have the McMillan in your hands first.

For this project, I wish McMillan would have gone with the Game Warden LR (already available with a Tikka inlet), modified to have an integral pic rail like the Mountain Tracker LR/Gunwerks Clymer/Manners Pro Hunter.

BTW — I have handled the Rokstok, and it does feel nice.

I haven’t held either of these but have seen some other Stocky’s stocks. They have been pretty nice especially for the price. The Peak 44 stocks look pretty good too.

Unobtanium invariably has the strongest pull. I do like the GW type grip and aggressive profile.

With as big as the company is you’d think they would just do this instead of doing a go fund me.
