March Madness the 20th! $945 in prizes! Give a shout out for your wildlife organization!

So do we need like four more to make the Conservation bracket go?

No one has an org they want to plug?

Beuhler? Beuhler?
GRATS! We broke 200 Hunt Talk members joining!

Usually when there is a fee and free event, we're looking at 5-8% fee participation. This is a general overview, not specific to a hunting, public land advocacy, wildlife conservation, though the HT sport events recently had about 15-20 participants.
Really great to see the various wildlife conservation organizations!
Example of a prior event for the Super Bowl:

Hunt Talk members shared wildlife organizations and a State operation that were fantastic to read about and understand! All with links that opens beyond the large organizations. Many opportunities exist understanding and possibly learning from others that may help for those I'm involved with. Take for instance:
They match State $ for $ donated to support endangered species! I sent this link on to our R1 FWP to share endless opportunities! Wolf monitoring, Trapping enhanced training, etc!

NAPF: North American Pronghorn Foundation by @Pucky Freak and @LuketheDog
RMBS: Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society by @Dsnow9 and @GrantK
SDWF: South Dakota Wildlife Federation by @Wild Bill
RMEF: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation by Sytes, @Duck-Slayer @Forkyfinder
PLWA: Public Land Water Access by @INMT
TYHP: Texas Youth Hunting Program by @jabber
RMGA: Rocky Mountain Goat Alliance by @mtnrunner260
SDBA: South Dakota Bowhunters Association by @warmer
WDNR: Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources by @seeth07
OWCF: Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation by @Colberjs
Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors by @kansasdad
DU: Ducks Unlimited by @BrentD

Hop in! Enjoy the fun! After all, it's March Madness! Some epic tough picks and potential Cinderella stories!

This evening, 18th, 19th, and 20th (pre first game), Post your favored organization! Toss a donation their way or pass a membership to a friend or family member! Give them a nice shout out! It would be great to break 20 entries and learn more about the organizations you value!

Gifted on behalf of my family to keep wildlife and wild places open to all.

Doing the dirty work that most sportsman don’t want to deal with. Fighting the good fight.

MONTANA FOR MORE THAN 80 YEARS
For more than eight decades the Montana Wildlife Federation has been a leading voice for protecting and enhancing our wildlife, public lands, and access at the Montana Legislature and in Washington, DC. Guided by our commitment to the public trust, our dedication to scientific management, and our concern for future generations, we work to promote state and federal policies and decisions that protect Montana’s fish and wildlife, our natural lands and waters, and public access to the outdoors.

Hell. @Big Fin PLWA was my org for the Super Bowl bracket. I’ll donate to them and MT Wildlife Federation for this one.

More teams in the bracket more support for conservation orgs. No better time than the present.

Near and dear to my heart. They don’t do memberships like lots of other organizations, but I have given some more $$ in a great HuntTalk tradition.

Texas Tech making the Final 4 catapulted me to victory and a nice Orion cooler (thanks @Big Fin and a now defunct cooler company) in 2019. I think they could go aways in the tournament this year, sadly no ORU to play Cinderella.

Why not? I don't have anyone to sign up for anything so I just gave more to RMEF because, well, you know. Count me in for both brackets! I didn't completely suck last year for not ever watching college b-ball!

Ticking down until the madness begins the 20th!

Post #23 updated to this point. All entrants via conservation organizations should be updated. If you dont see your entry / organization listed, please PM me so I may add.
Post #37 updated to this point. 17 participants! This event is a GO! Great odds to win prizes! Great to see so many fantastic organizations shared!
Would be great to reach 20! Yep, always pushing! Haha!
If you don't see your name PM me so I may add.

Are these two different Yahoo Tournements? Do I need to transfer my bracket to the Conservation tournament as well or is it done automatically? Can we see how we are doing in both groups or just the General (free) group?

I want to issue @Sytes a big thank you for pushing this march madness tournament. He has been instrumental in getting the prizes and getting us deadbeats to sign up and donate. Thank you, Charles, keep up the good work.
Appreciate your comment. Thankfully, we have many fantastic individuals and organization(s) that stepped up to share awards for sake of conservation along with Randy providing us this platform.
In his words, "Take these events to whatever degree you feel comfortable" in the interest of promoting wildlife organizations.

It's great to have so many willing to participate, share prizes, and promote a primary reason we are on this specific forum.

Let March Madness begin... very soon!

@Sawtooth , one bracket in Jabber's yahoo setting is automatically used for the Free For All event and the same bracket for the wildlife promotion /spotlight event.
Again, thanks for joining in the conservation event!
