Luxe Hot Tent

What are people using for ground tarps inside the tent ? Trying to find something waterproof and light weight.

I started out using a stove in my big horn tent. It was a pain in the ass and anyone that says it doesn't condensate because its dry heat is full of it. It would be raining in there, with such a small space and a stove it was either burning up or cold. Just the moisture from breathing was enough to cause condensation. Another issue was with such a small space if just a little smoke drafted into the tent when you opened it up you were almost forced outside. We went big buddy heater and haven't looked back. I have a 6 foot line on it and run it to a tank outside. It shuts off auto if tipped over and I have never had issued with carbon Monoxide. Tents breath plenty. We mainly use in the evening if we need to dry things shut it off while sleeping or if really cold put on low and then fire it up in am. Condensation has been a lot less of an issue, I think in large part due to being able to adjust temp so easily.

I like the set up so much I am going to be getting a Seek Cim. and will run a little buddy with it in backcountry when needed.

Well just found out that my wife got me a Seek Outside Redcliff tent that she was going to surprise me at Christmas with... With that being said, I plan on returning the Luxe. Hoping someone around SW MT might be in the market for one.

I still have it in the box. If anyone in the Bozeman area looking for a set up, I’ll drop it off for $525.00

1 year later, go a review for us?
I have the megahorn and titanium stove combo from Luxe. I set it up and used it during the great “snowpocalypse” down here in TX…for fun. It was up about a week and got hit with a good amount of snow. Held up fine and stayed warm.

I used it again last spring for a couple of nights with the half inner. It’s good gear for the money. The only thing I really don’t like for my needs is the door is too low. Since it’s not really a backpacking teepee I’d prefer a taller door so I’m looking at some of the Pomoly offerings that are bigger and taller. It’s almost too big for me by myself but too small for my wife and daughter plus gear.

I’ll be using it again for a hunt this November. Not sure if I’ll get rid of it once I have something else or not.
