Summer vacation for the little GD anyway.
Not to waist it we grabbed the poles and ran out to the "Pond".
She LOVES to catch the bullhead out there.
We are home now and relaxing from all the fish wrestling.
Josie ,granddaughter, got the first fish and it was a bass.
We lost count how many she got but it was a mess, most where Bull heads, bass where all small.
I got 3 all bull head, she was giving ME "Tips" how to get more fish ....

Yes there is a bass in that sea weed salad .

After walking/ fishing, all the way around the pond we had a picnic at the truck.
Tuna sandwiches, tea, grape, and some cheese.
We where soaking up the cool and quiet , the LAST day of summer vacation.

What a way to end the summer !!!!
Fun day at the "POND"

What a perfect day. I still have vivid memories of fishing with my grandmother and having a picnic on the trunk of her car when I was about 6. Good times!

Great pictures. I am always dismayed at how fast summer vacation flies by. The only consolation is that hunting season is right around the corner.

Nice job Gramps! :)

Brings back lots of great memories for me as well. Grandpa would take us in the boat and we'd catch crappie till we couldn't reel anymore. Cheese sandwiches, a pop and usually some smoked salmon in the cooler. I'm pretty sure I usually fell asleep in the truck on the way home. Now that he's getting on in years, I am so grateful for those memories.
