Louisiana Hunts 20-21

This is not normal. This isn’t the powdery fluffy fun stuff I remember from Montana. This is a wet mess.

So I’m still hanging in there. It has been pretty slow. I have seen 7 deer since Saturday with no shot opportunities.

The wind is going to be howling for the next two days. I am going to change things up and try to crowd in very close to some bedding areas using the wind cover when I climb down for lunch. I have been very mobile for stand hunting as I have not hunted the same spot for more than a day.

I have 3 more days worth left. We’ll see what happens.

I don’t know if this should be considered thinking outside the box are being silly. Guess we will see.

Sitting on the edge of CRP and bean field where a bunch of deer have been coming out. The wind is tough. Last rifle hunt of the year for me. Should make it back for a few days during the primitive hunt.
