Anyone employed in the computer super guru world able to translate average joe language?

Have a new desktop and ran a CPU-Z validation.

I know very little related to hardware. Assembled a computer a few years ago for fun and it turned out great though I followed a YouTube computer guru's selection of items and basically followed his exact process.

I've no clue if this is normal and when I view the internet, the gurus are talking shop in guru+ language. I get lost following.

Basically, is the temp okay? The desktop is liquid cooled.

That’s on the hot side - stop surfing porn and it should go down. 😜

My 13900 runs right around 60 degrees I think browsing web/watching youtube. I regularly see spikes over 90, sometimes 100 degrees running newer AAA titles pushing fps. I think it starts to cut at around 100 degrees. Bios limit is 115.

80 is a bit warm.

Edit: I'd try a repaste of the CPU and a reseat of the cooler to start.

I'm not at that level of skillset.

I bought this via Newegg over the black friday time frame:

It has a CPU-Z icon I figured I'd click and was a bit surprised the heat it generates though no clue of typical heat range. Reviews say it's standard, others speak of voltage/wattage and it gets very weed thick!

This "validation" was taken from standard desktop view. I have GPU intense games, Flight Simulator, etc...

I think your ok around 80. Quick search showed people getting over 100 on that processor. You can always run a test while you have flight Sim running. Also, the computer should auto shut down if it hits a certain temp so it doesn't get fried. There should be a UEFI/bios setting to regulate that, or maybe even a performance program on the PC.

Is the 80 degrees at idle or is that under load? If that's under load that's nothing to worry about. The i9's notoriously run hot.

Any weird noises from the fans or pump on the cooler?

You may be getting an overvoltage from the board, you can try lowering the voltage until you get temps you are comfortable with. You'll have to log volts and temp during a flight session when you are dogging it. It'll be a balancing act between temps and performance.

Resticking a CPU is pretty straightforward. I'd go with Grizzly paste and replace the ILM with a contact frame if it didn't come with one from the factory.

Or you may have just lost the silicon lottery and got a weak CPU and the board is overvolting to compensate.
