I’ve been out with Dumper many times, they have the best outfit on Lake Michigan imo. I grew up very near there and fished in a Wednesday night salmon league and many derbys out of the same slip area, so I got to see a bunch- most of them have great rigs and will put you on quite a few fish if you go late July.
You could stay at Blue Harbor or one of the condos that Dumper runs, walk over and fish with them and then walk to dinner at one of several different areas. Sheboygan has done a really good job with their lake front, really cool scene down there compared to when when I was a kid.
The weekend of August 6th is Brat Days if you really want to get wild (actually a very big to-do in town, just a short walk). I saw the Black Widow break the female world record during the brat eating contest one year, which was on ESPN. Also saw Jethro Tull, which was cool until the cops came and told them to turn it down.
They also serve beer.
