I finally got a new computer today.
I went with the E-machine, it was just too good a deal to pass up.
First thing I did was get some antivirus and anti spybot programs.

Right now I have ;

Kerio personal firewall
AVG antivirus
Spyblaster
AD-aware

Do you think I need anything else for online protection ?

In the last two hours on-line, I've had four or five attempts at unauthorized sites trying to connect to MY computer , the Kerio firewall stops them.

My old computer had 244 viruses or spybots, I smashed the hard drive before disposing of it.

Download Mozilla Firefox and ditch IE forever. I would also recommend CWS shredder. If you spend anytime at warez sites, porn sites or crackz sites you will need this program. The cws trojan is the most evil little bug you can get. Its darn near impossible to get rid of as it blocks access to all security sites to fix it. Type CWS shredder into google and look for a website called merijyn.org, I am not 100% sure of the spelling but it's pretty close. It take about 2 seconds to download.
