Partially due to his location in Colorado?

what’s his ratio of customers that are backpackers only to hunters?

what I’m curious about, is he milking it due to Colorado’s overall demand? Or are his costs actually going up
I have pack stock and horses on my ranch here. As far as costs going up, I'm sure they have, as hay has skyrocketed in price this year. Funny how grass hay, or non Cow hay is hard to come by, as growers using irrigation want to grow pure alfalfa. So, my answer is that his rental prices are probably driven by everything it takes to stay in the business.

Llamas are the in thing right now, and can command a premium price. You can still get a horse packer to haul you in and out for a very reasonable rate. I hired one for my muzzy hunt and was very happy with the service I got.
packgoats have far surpassed the llama world

people complaining about prices should try and raise your own llamas and see how much these people have invested in these operations and time.
