I have pack stock and horses on my ranch here. As far as costs going up, I'm sure they have, as hay has skyrocketed in price this year. Funny how grass hay, or non Cow hay is hard to come by, as growers using irrigation want to grow pure alfalfa. So, my answer is that his rental prices are probably driven by everything it takes to stay in the business.Partially due to his location in Colorado?
what’s his ratio of customers that are backpackers only to hunters?

packgoats have far surpassed the llama worldLlamas are the in thing right now, and can command a premium price. You can still get a horse packer to haul you in and out for a very reasonable rate. I hired one for my muzzy hunt and was very happy with the service I got.
