Little things that bother you. OCD or poor design?

Another title for this thread might be "Just because you can that doesn't mean you should".

For example, adding an AR-style stock and heat guard to a lever gun.

Since it’s been so cold lately I’ve been reminded how much I hate the defrost vents on my Chevy pickup. Why the vents are only in the center of the windshield and not also in the corners drives me nuts

This might be a little off topic, but I am always bothered when I pull up to my hunting spot in the pre-dawn darkness and shut off my truck and I can't open and close doors without beeps and boops and every light turning on. There should be a stealth mode button that I can push that disables all of that. I pull in, shut off the truck, and everything is dark and quiet as I get ready and grab my gear.

Then the light off and pull the key out?

My truck doesn't have a key (push to start) and the light inside the car stays on for like 60 seconds after you close the door. It says on while the door is open. And there are a lot of beeps and boops that happen for no reason. All I want is a stealth mode where none of that happens.

You can adjust how long it stays lit when you shut the door.

Ahhh, I don't have a truck new enough for that lol.

My truck is similar but I have a button which turns off the open door auto-on lights. Maybe you do too somewhere?

My wife could get on the Google/timesaver machine and figure out how to turn that stuff off in under a week. It is amazing.

If you know someone in China, they can probably do it from there. Too many criminals out there with the same problem for there not to be a fix.

Finally just pulled the dome bulbs due to never turning off, dust. Burnt my fingers the 1st try.
Door ajar lite always on.
I hate the power windows, locks.
Wishing for crank windows and windwings in 2025.

My Chevy is WAY too complex with menu paths for all that and frankly just doesn’t seem like a heterosexual truck. Feminine bells and sounds for everything. From the factory it even honked for ridiculous reasons. You leave the truck to step out snd glass and the horn honked. The wife and I sat in it for 2 hours with cocktails one night and eventually got rid of most of the annoying ones. I’m starting to like the truck more now

I'm bad about leaving the fob in the cab when behind locked gates at our deer ground. Shut the door & the horn chirps...& here come the cows. 'Bout have that habit broken...
