Have lived about half my life in California - half in Idaho. Idaho's lifetime license came out in '87 and I bought one the first year - moved back to Calif in the mid 90's - California started selling them so I bought one and a lifetime deer tag too. Back to Idaho in '06.

Oklahoma has them. Lifetime fishing is $225, hunting is $625, and combination is $775.

Vermont does : kids < 1 year old = 6X current adult license , kids 1 -15 years old = 16 X current adult price, adults 16 - 24 = 31 X current adult price, adults 25 - 64 = 26X current adult price. We bought all my nieces and nephews their permanent combo licenses before they turned 1 year old. What a deal !!!!!

La has a lifetime fishing/hunting license for $500 (residents). Senior lifetime (over 60) is $50, both include fishing/hunting and all tags (archery, gun) except Federal duck stamp. It is a plastic card, and all you do is go to any license outlet (Wal-Mart), they swipe your Driver's license, and they print out all your tags (deer, turkey, etc).

North Carolina has offered them for the last 25-30 years, perhaps longer. Seniors over 65 also may purchase a unified lifetime license which covers hunting and freshwater fishing as well as coastal fishing for a one time grand total of $30.00; quite the deal.

Nebraska has lifetime fish, hunt, and habitat stamp. I wish I would have taken advantage back when the combo was like $400 but I never had the money. It certainly would increase the amount of bird hunting I do every year...especially doves.

Wyoming has lifetime small game, game bird and fishing to go with the new archery lifetime license.
Texas also has a great lifetime license which I stupidly did not buy before I moved to Wyoming.

Texas has lifetime hunting and fishing. Right now it is $1,000 for hunting or fishing only or $1,800 for both.

I bought mine a while back when it was $600 for the hunting license. I also bought one for my son when he was 2 weeks old because the price was going to increase to $1,000.

It's really not much of a cost savings for a resident, but it is a lifetime license regardless of residency status so if he moves off to someplace nice when he grows up he can still come back here and hunt with me for free if he wants. That would pay for itself in just a couple years then.

Bought son a Mississippi lifetime when he was a baby. It was around $200, I believe. It looks like he may live out of state going forward, so it will be nice to not have to buy a non resident when he comes home.

Utah does. I stupidly didn't buy one before I moved out of state.

Alaska offers a free hunting, fishing, trapping license to residents over the age of 60.

I have one in Oklahoma I've had for 25 years. While I lived there it was a great deal. Now that I dont live there it's priceless when I go visit the kids. I can just go, not have to worry about cost.
