My first buck at 20 years old.Started really seriously hunting at age 19 while in college. Football kept me busy up through high school so I never had time to devote until college began.
This is my biggest whitetail to date. I should’ve mounted him when I shot him, but constraints on funds for being a college student and family tradition of doing European mounts prevented that.
One day while sitting in my office in a job I had just started, the buck plaque fell off the wall and the nose busted off. I decided I would take him to the taxi, buy a new cape and get him mounted.
fast forward to today and my taxidermist sent me a photo saying I can pick him up in a few weeks after the drying process. I picked a neck that was a few inches too small haha
, but hey it really makes his rack look bigger. Anyway, can’t wait to finally pick him up and have him in my house to enjoy for the rest of my life,
And to ponder the new adventures I will take in the future!
