I've decided to sell my left hand Ruger stainless, laminate stock Hawkeye in .300 Win Mag. Reality has set in that my shoulders won't tolerate the recoil. It's in excellent condition. $1300.00 plus shipping to your FFL.
I also have a ton of brass, RCBS dies and Barnes 175 LRX bullets and some magnum primers that I will be selling later.

Here's the picture from when I got it. The scope was kinda funky so I replaced it with a Leupold that is NOT included in the price. It's a VX-3 that could be negotiated.

I wish that I had the extra money laying around to buy such a beautiful rifle. I remember looking at a regular Woodstock version in 7 REM Mag 15 years ago but passed on it.

I know the feeling. So many rifles, so little money. My wife has been trying to get me to keep it. She knows how hard it was for me to get it. I'm hot in the hunt for a rifle that was never built! I want a stainless laminate Ruger #1 in 6.5 . The best I could do is buy one and have a barrel made. Too much $$ for this old guy.

Since you have a really fine & beautiful rifle & would like to keep it, before selling it you may want to consider putting an effective muzzle brake on it.
I have a Bergara Ridgeback in 300WM, & with optic/rings etc the weight is pushing 13lb which helps with felt recoil. When I shot it for the first time with no brake I had prepared myself for the pretty stout kick, & it did not disappoint, However when I installed a "Recoil Hawg" the felt recoil was quite manageable, it did not seem much more than my .308 without a brake.
It was easy for me to install as my barrel came threaded, but it might be worth the expense of getting your barrel threaded if you don't really want to sell it.
(I have also heard there are clamp on muzzle brakes, but i have no experience with those, not sure how those would affect barrel harmonics & accuracy.)

I'd thought about putting a brake on it. I think my main reason for selling is that my chances of actually using it are somewhere around zero.

Deaner-20 is going to love this rifle. It shot everything I ever fed it and shot very consistent groups. I really didn't want to sell it but it made no sense to make a safe queen when someone else could enjoy it. I didn't want to see it go but I'm very glad to see it go to someone who is excited about having it as I was.
