The hurricane Rita is at 165 mph now and south Texas dove season opens this weekend. How much lead do you think you need with a 165 mph tail wind?

Yeah I can imagine that much wind could make shooting doves just a little more difficult than it already is! Let's hope that hitting the doves is the only problem it causes for you.

It peaked with susstained winds of 175 last night, with gusts over 200 mph they said on the radio. Its down to 170 mph now and they say it will slow. I heard Galveston's levee is 17 ft and they expect waves 14-15 ft over that. They've been evacuating. Our city, the motels are full. It takes 8 hours to get here when its usually 3.5 hrs from Houston now, because of the traffic. I-45 north out of Houston is all one way now, out, both sides.

I udnerstand that the Governor of Texas has issued mandatory instructions to everyone south of Killeen to learn the words to "Oh Canada"!
