After 8 days of bow and rifle hunting I shot this bull on public land. I took off shortly after daylight in my muck boots. I was at 5200 feet planning to hunt a mile to the base of the mountain. I ended up tracking the elk all day and shooting this bull at 7400 feet at 4 pm. It made for a long couple days and some sore feet and thank God for a great brother in law who came to help me pack him out the next day. One of my toughest days on the mountain but very rewarding in the end.
