What is the largest volcano?

The Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii holds the title here on Earth. It rises more than 50,000 feet (9.5 miles or 15.2 kilometers) above its base, which sits under the surface of the sea. But that's all volcanic chump change. Olympus Mons on Mars rises 16 miles (26 kilometers) into the Martian sky. Its base would almost cover the entire state of Arizona.

I saw a documentary about Yellowstone and I know that there used to be a huge volcano there before it totally blew. They say if it goes again then it will kill everything within 600 miles. That includes Salt Lake City, Boise, Denver. That same documentary also said that the ground temperature under the park is on the rise.

OH!! That is what this global warming thing is about. I get it. :D

LOL!!! that thing is called a Caldera... From all acounts, the skin of the earth is thin right there and when the whole thing is ready to go and the skin gets to heavy because the ground underneath becomes molten. It just collapses in a huge fire explosion.... If that happens in the summer, I wonder if it will put the fires out from the explosion, or make them bigger with the high winds... ;)
