Competition works (see new Garmin device). It will be interesting to see some solid side-by-side reviews.

A lot to like there in a small package. I like the LabRadar, but its a lot to haul around and setup sometimes.

I don't dare ask The Comptroller for funds to make that jump right now.
Yea I’ve had the v3 for a while now and never really saw a reason to get a Labradar , mainly because of size/price. The Garmin might change that.

I made the jump to the Labradar. I have a Oehler 33 and while it works it takes time to set up and is finicky to weather and light. I only have had my Labradar out one time so far. It sets up quickly and reads the shots each time. Plus, it gives reading from the muzzle and at three more distances within the first 100 yards. The readings so far have been consistent. Next time out I'll check it with my handguns, 44 mag. & 454. So far, I'm happy with it.

The Garmin looks very promising and almost too good to be true. Will wait for field reports from some of the early adopters.
