Kimber-ized

Great effort guys...hows the last pic, thats one for the trophy room right there...well done, looks like he is pulling his weight under the pack, stud effort all-round.

Another bull fell to the Kimber last weekend. I spotted 4 bulls 2 weeks ago in a difficult to access area. We had originally planned to go after them 2 weeks ago, but got side-tracked with my nephews bull. I spotted the bulls in almost the exact same spot, or within 100 yards. Early in the fall it seems like the bulls tend to hang in the same general area for weeks and really don't move all that much. It seems once the velvet comes off, they start to wonder. I've noticed this for the last 4-5 years.

They nearly gave us the slip up over a ridge just as we got into shooting range, but luckily we were able to get in front of them. ;) A 50 yard shot and the fun was over. I think next year I'll try to either shoot one with a handgun or a bow. So much fun to hunt, but really the challenge seems to be deciding what one to shoot and go after.

Sure is an ugly time of the year to be in the mountains.

Very nice bull! Now I'll be waiting for a pic of this year's Bullwinkle. I'm gonna have to get back there soon before you guys kill all of the critters!

As I have said before, Bambi, you are living the dream ! Great post, great pictures and as always great trophies .

Just about missed this part. From your past posts, along with the stories you told us when we met this spring, I have to wonder just how "difficult" it was. The places you go and the miles you put on seem like you pretty much go about anywhere!
