kenetrek vs crispi - more waterprooferer?

im down to the wire on getting my Christmas list turned into my mom and im trying to decide if I want to ask Santa for another set of cripi summits or try out a set of kenetrek bridger high's or maybe even corrie ii's.
the main thing that concerns me is the Windtex water proof membrane used in the kenetreks.
is this as good as the gore tex used in the crispi's?
has anyone ever had any issues with the Windtex leaking or not being up to par with real gore tex.
I've been very happy with my 2 sets of crispi summits, but I just kinda want to switch it up.

So far my Kenetreks have been excellent in the water resistance department, the best of any boot I have owned. After going through many different brands, I've found that it's usually the seams or boot lace rivets that start to let water in regardless of the waterproofing material. The Kenetreks have been flawless thus far. (For reference, I hunt very steep, rocky terrain in NW MT and my boots take a serious beating). The break in was no cake walk, but they are holding up wonderfully.

Dont know about Crispi but I tell you my kenetrek are 100% waterproof . The elk I shot last month required a pack out across a creek (standing in creek water for good 5 minutes. Same creek I crossed every day twice for 4 days. Then in snow and rain for 4 days straight. Never ever got feet wet. I am on my 3rd year with these boots.

No experience with the Corries or the bridgers, but I do have the hardscrabbles and the sliderocks.

Get the hardscrabbles if you can swing it. They're the best built out of that series.

If waterproofness of the boot is your main priority you should really look at an all leather boot. That waterproof membrane is so easy to damage compared to the leather.

Following. In the market for a new pair of lightish hikers next year and going with Kennetrek’s, just not sure which model yet. Upgrading from Lowa Renegades, which fell apart on me.

I’ve got the Kennetrek Mountain Extreme 400’s highs and they are excellent in snow and stuff, I just wear lighter hikers pretty much for all but the most extreme conditions, so they don’t get much use. Will probably last me a lifetime.

The Corrie's didn't fit my feet very well, felt too loose. The Bridger highs are probably some of the most comfortable boots I've had so far. Mostly use them early season and spring. I also have the mntn Extreme 400s and find them very comfortable, as a reference.

couldn't swing the hard scrabs so I ended up wishing for a set of the corrie ii's.

I really liked my summits. I'm sure I don't hike as much as you guys, but I got some pretty good life out of them.
