I'm curious how others setup office pool big game comps for all specie and methods of hunting.
I've proposed one overall big game contest in the past with resistance. The system I've proposed is all animals taken are scored off thier specie B&C or P&Y score. The hunters final score would be a percentage of the minimum book score for each animal. The highest percentage score would win.
So, If I shoot a 260 typical bull with archery equipment my score would be 260/260=100% and if John Doe shoots a 185 buck with a rifle his score would be 185/180=102.78% in which case John Doe would have the highest score.
Is this a fair system or are there other methods for combining all hunts into one Big Game Comp?
