Weight alone of suppressor will reduce real recoil 10%-15%. Reduction in sound literally equals reduction in gas and burnt powder speed reduction. That's more energy changed to heat instead of kinetic energy, which equals less recoil. US Army Aberdeen Test Center showed that adding a suppressor to an M4 carbine reduced peak recoil force by approximately 25%. That's two types of recoil reduction; mass and gas velocity change.
