While everyone is out hunting I enjoy keeping the jigging dream alive. I'll get my share of hunting in, but having the fishing all to myself is pretty tough to pass up. I've been fighting a head cold all week, but I just had to get out of the house on Saturday. I made it about 2 hours before my cold caught up to me and my energy ran out. While I didn't catch a lot of fish the size and quality was there.

This super nice brownie slammed my jig on my second cast. It was a great way to start the day!

Shortly after the brown this pretty and stocky rainbow made its debut.

A few casts later another very nice brown trout tried to tear the rod out of my hands. Fighting these fish in a strong current is so much fun it should be illegal. I'm sure glad that it is not.

There was about a 20 minute pause of no fish and then this hefty rainbow showed up.

I ended the day with this long/skinny 21.5" river rainbow. It was a great couple hours. I wish I would have had the stamina to stay longer, but it just wasn't in me. In fact, as I sit here Monday morning, I'm still feeling the effects of playing outside when I should have been in bed. However, looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.

Good eye smarandr, one of the jigs is just a standard Neon Perch pattern from Kit's Tackle. The other is a yellow and brown a friend of mine tied. I'm hoping I can get Kit to tie some yellow and brown for me as they seem to work pretty good.

I'm sure glad a few people take a peek at these photos now and then. I've been away with work and hadn't checked in. Thank you for the kind words. It's looking pretty chilly around here this week so it might be a couple weeks before any new fish photos appear. Best of luck to everyone whether in the field or on the water.

I always check your posts for fish photos, every time I feel like Clark Griswold going back into the casino.
