I was just going out to harvest that garden as much as possible before it snows and drops below freezing. On the way out the the garden I found this guy in the yard. Any mushroom experts out there?CCE694F0-5924-41D7-8FB8-114AC626FC72.jpeg7162E0AE-9E04-4561-99A8-F3E580978C36.jpeg

Looks like a false morel to me, stem is long and connects to the cap wrong? As said above cut it in half, morels are hollow, the stems of false morels are not.

Pretty sure that's a stinkhorn, NOT a morel! Does it smell like death/BO? I hear they're not toxic but I sure as heck wouldn't eat it. I got all excited when those popped up in my lawn in Littleton when I lived there, thought they were morels too...

Update... I was late to the game and the critters got it but it is hollow so looks like morel. And looks like I have a giant one on the way!
