Introduction and Public Land Gators

Hello all. I live on the Gulf coast and just discovered this site and Randy’s work in general. Last Saturday I binge watched Fresh Tracks on Amazon and am glad to have found this forum. Ive had a grand total of four out of state hunts, and 5 public land hunts here in my home state. Thought you might like to see the results of my last hunt with my dad and 2 oldest boys.


Not your typical public land hunt! I look forward to learning more and more about public land hunting. Thanks for all the knowledge shared.

Gator is some of the best meat I have tasted so good on you sir! I would hunt them If we had em in Washington. Nothing like deep fried gator!

I live in Louisiana and putting in for a near by WMA. Draw odds aren't great, but decent. Hopefully can get drawn and fill all 3 tags. Really not interested in selling the hide or paying to get one tanned just want the experience and the meat. If drawn it'll at least be a good excuse to ride around at night frogging/scouting for gators.

My 12 year old had his arm in a cast, so we were limited to hook and bait. But Id love to cruise around bowfishing for them. In Texas we can’t at night, or at least on the WMA we hunted we couldnt.
