I bought this custom Jerry Fisher rifle last April from his wife Celeste. She gave me a receipt and letter for it, establishing it's origin in the 1960's. She told me Jerry built this gun for a pilot to take sheep hunting, so it is extremely light. (6 pounds scope, sling and all)

She just sent me his log book which is a record of his bombing missions in Europe during WWII. Seems he was a B-17 pilot before he flew for Frontier Airlines.

What incredible provenance...

That’s awesome! Pilot didn’t happen to live in Great Falls when he passed away, did he? I have an interesting scrap book that belonged to a B-17 pilot who was shot down and spent some time at Stalag Luft III.
