Hello all!!!
Well I can only throw a quick note in and then have to run again..
Seems as if in my absence, there have been a lot of new fires pop up...
Before any of you jump to conclusions about me maybe starting a bunch of them, I was up on the Ross Creek Fire..
This one was in seven miles in the back country, we got helicoptor rides in, all I can say is great country, and beutiful vistas...
I have pics, but will have to wait till I get things a little slowed down.
The fire was covering only 195 acres, and they spent a wad of money on it..
None of us could figure why they were spending so much $$$ until we hiked out and saw the 5 miles of 4-8 foot Western Red Ceders and Western Hemlocks that filled the valley...
It was a great place to hike out of and I would tell any one that wants to see some beutiful trees in a great setting, go to Troy Mt Ranger station and they will give directions..
It will really be worth the trip...
I have to run, until next time and this station, I will get back to all of you when I can.....
