Idaho Unit 37 ?

Has anyone hunted unit 37 in Idaho?

My wife was drawn for an early cow hunt and was trying to get an idea where to start scouting. Looks like a lot of public land, although I'm not sure about roads and access.

Mostly, we are using a 4 x 4 truck, then on foot.

Most of the people who draw that tag just drive around in the sage and chase cows with their trucks please don't do that. Is it within one mile of green fields? If so be careful f&g is watching that hunt.

Yes, that's the one where you have to hunt near ag fields. We like to park and get out for a hike versus road hunting.

What do you mean f&g watches the hunt? for road hunters? or?

I mean they get a lot of reports about people chasing elk with trucks atvs or hunting outside of the 1mi boundary that there is always a officer out there. I have had elk get chased by me with their tongues hanging out a few times it gets bad up there sometimes. Just have you're phone ready and call f&g.
