Idaho Moose Unit 2!

The entire unit is moose central. Where do you live, are you close enough to spend some time in there and scout? I've hunted and messed around over every bit of it over the last 14 years or so. Not moose hunting, but cat hunting and deer hunting alot. Seen some good bulls in there. There are a couple "better" areas in there. Hoodoo Mountain is one, the East flank of Mount Spokane is the other. Blanchard Pass, between Blanchard and Spokane is full of moose and I've found a couple good sheds in there.

I'll talk to my dad, he lives in Blanchard and spends 300 days a year out in that country hunting and dinking around...

Congrats.

Thanks for that information guys! A friend of mine also drew that tag and we're waiting on a decision by Gary whether to let me help him on a DIY or not. It appears there may be only one outfitter in that area and he just sold the business to a new owner. Mu buddy and I think we can get him a good bull if he can spend 7-10 days out there. Any thoughts on DIY versus an outfitted hunt?

Get a IEP permit and head in behind spirit lake towards the WA line . Good moose country back there and lots of cuts to glass

My bull, daughters bull and the wife’s cow. All unit two.
