Lucky enough to get an early season Idaho rifle buck tag. I normally hunt general or late season rut tags, but wanted to try for a velvet buck. Any pointers for the September time frame in Southwest Idaho? Been putting in plenty of time backpacking this time of year, but only seeing smaller bucks. I know the big guys are up high and might still be loners.
