Idaho bill H0032 any info?

The budget bill has passed and has been signed by the governor. IDF&G budget was reduced by $874k this year.

And I'm sure it was done as a form of punishment by the legislature. Again remember this stuff when they want your vote next time. The biggest problem we have is how many of them will be unopposed or the number of people that will blindly vote based upon party affiliation.

I received this E-Mail today:HB 32

Representative Paul Romrell
To:

This bill is dead. Its being held in committee. Rep Romrell

Hmmm so they figure if they kill the hostage (HB32) we will forget about this mess and wait for the next time SFW tries a tag grab to see if they can keep it quieter than this time. I will be at the IDF&G commission meeting in Boise the 23rd if anyone wants to meet up after the meeting maybe we can get a little organizing done. Or at least we can drink a beer and complain together.

A reporter with KPVI in Pocatello contacted me about possibly doing a story on this. Even though it looks like (for now) these proposals aren't moving anywhere it will still be good for a wider audience to hear what some of these legislators have been trying to do.

I would like to see that.
It's not about (this) time it's about not giving these guys enough time in office to formulate a plan to force this on us. lf only they put this much time and effort into representing the people who cast the votes to elect them.

This is a screen shot that's floating around the interweb. I'm not sure we are helping f&g but at least we know who to blame.

Time for a few voters from Siddoway and Moyle's districts to send them an email and remind them who they work for. What a couple of tools.

Word from F&G after last night's commission meeting is HB32 and the RS with the tag grab in it are done for this year. A comment from one of the commissioners was the sportsmen who sent communication to the legislators kept the tag grab from happening. If you sent a letter, email or made a phone call you helped. Thank you.

This really burns me up. These policy changes were vetted through the Fish and Game commission by the sportsmen of Idaho and found to be not a direction we wanted to go in. While there are certainly distinct roles in place of policy setters and those who put policy into practice.......Aren't our governmental representatives supposed to be just that....REPRESENTATIVES.

I sent an additional email this am...

Unfortunately I don't. The screen shot was just floating the Web as stated. I know a few lower level employees who I can sometimes get a heads up from but nothing special.

I am genuinely worried that they will sneak this through eventually. There's too much money at stake for them to give up.

6speed was there a better turnout than normal?
