See many chukars? Beautiful area.

I didnt see any chuckar. At least 150 sage grouse though, they were everywhere! Pretty much at every spring in the mornings.

Adam, I drew the 47 muzzy elk hunt this year. Any advice on where to start ?

Well, i was one of the lucky 15 to draw the 47 muzzy hunt. Ive drawn it once before and the elk numbers were crazy. This year... not so much. Ive hiked to the tops of canyons and glassed for hours and hours. Ive only seen 2 elk so far and its day 4. They are quiet from the archery pressure last month, but ive seen 3 bulls leave in trucks. So, they're around! Im out here for the whole 14 day season and plan to pound some dirt for the next few days. Most unfortunate part of the unit, there are roads that lead to every part of it... anyway, ill keep you updated. Good luck to everyone out there, and stay safe.
