I threw out $25 gaiters the first time I tried them out. Worthless junk. Not sure how much of a difference there is between the premium variety though.

What about something like mink oil?

Depends on the leather. Most boots are chrome tanned leather and shouldn’t be treated with fats/oils. Use wax base products instead. Also, mink oil will soften the leather and probably ruin any support the boots have.

I don't wear that big but I'm sure they do. I see them go up to W16.5 for this model. Hope this helps
