Hunting books for youngsters!

I saw these on Amazon, so "Santa" brought my 9yo son one for Christmas. He read that book faster and talked about it more than any other book. So we got second one... Same thing. For folks looking for hunting novels to get for kids, I strongly recommend the Hometown Hunter's series by Lane Walker. Here's an Amazon link through this website to them.

So this one probably sounds like a joke but I bought my son a book called "Who pooped in the park", link below. He was 4 at the time and loves it. Mainly because young kids love everything regarding poop and thinks its the funniest thing ever. It teaches about recognizing different tracks and scat. It really is an interesting book and at the end we would take turns covering up the photos and identifying the animals by their scat and tracks.

I will never forget him playing second base t-ball and interrupting the game yelling dad ... dad ... I found turkey tracks. The best part was he was right and only 4.
