Broken extractor.
Easy to replace myself or send back to Legacy?

What does the end of the barrel look like? Is there a knurled section on the end? If so it is probably a cap that should screw off and reveal threads for the suppressor.

it was a matter of sales. the demand for stainless barreled actions died off, and we can cerakote in house and many people just wanted the look of stainless.

I love the stainless rifles , I believe they get most of them across the pond ,

Any idea if hinged floor plate or flush fit magazines are in the works for the mini series?

I like the Jefferson outdoors bottom metal , but I do wish that Howa would do the minis like the superlites !

Hello , I love the Howa minis and superlites but I wish they would come out with more calibers in the mini and Superlite, A 257 Roberts in that Superlite would be fantastic !!!

Why did they quit making the 222 Remington and the 300 blackout those are perfect rounds for close range medium size game with the accuracy of the minis !!!!!

I just bought a Howa M1500 in 6.5 CM (yea, I was called to the dark side). This particular setup had 5 round box magazine. I got it home and saw they also included the factory floorplate which might be nice too. I pulled the magazine out and whoops, it was for a .300 WM.
I contacted Legacy Sports and they promptly, with no drama took care of it and sent out a replacement magazine right away. Very nice. I'll be taking to the range next weekend and trying out a few different rounds.

That said, if anyone here has this rifle in a .300 WM and has the setup to use a box magazine, I have a free spare magazine if you want to pay for shipping.

Just purchased a howa 1500 Randy Newberg edition in 308. Took it to the range and the barrel is touching the stock (stock is clearly not aligned correctly) and shooting all over the place. When I contacted them for warranty work was advised minimum of 3 months because of an issue they had with their gunsmith? Anyone know more or know of a workaround (options??). Spent a whole lot of money on a new gun that I can't use for an upcoming elk hunt this year - not cool but maybe someone is aware of additional info. Thanks.

My 3 months turned into 9 months and contacting the VP of Legacy. I had a 270 doing the same. It took them over 3 months just to shoot and confirm. Then they did not have the same rifle in stock. I had to stay on them. When I finally reached out to the VP, he got involved and they ended up sending me a 6.5 PRC carbon. It was much more than the original rifle I purchased, but not a caliber I wanted. I ended up getting a Tikka to replace it during the process. I wish I had a better experience to tell you.

I will say, all of the other HOWAs I have owned have been absolute tack drivers. If you get the one lemon, their customer service is painful to deal with.

You could just drop it into an MDT or KRG and not be out too much. Of course, that is if you have the money after investing in your rifle. And, if that is really the issue.

I have been a fan of Howa for awhile. My dad and a friend each got one in 308 in 2002. It shot almost every factory load he tried to 1” or better. He has taken a large number of deer, Antelope and several elk. I narrowed it a couple seasons when I was between rifles and took my first elk and several deer. After that I bought one with a laminate stock in 270 and used it the last 10 years.

For the price range they are hard to beat. I’ve never had a issue with them.
