How old?

I sent it to a MT FWP Bio buddy of mine. Back shortly with the answer.

Obviously we would need pictures of a buck with a "swag belly" and a "roman nose" next to your extra-ordinary WalMart cornflinger in order to properly age.

Also at least 500 words of how the hunt went down.

Very nice buck!

He was for sure on the tail end of life. My guess is at least 8.

I love the character he has!

The molars don't look too bad, but those incisors are haggard! Kinda surprising to see the difference in them. Congrats on a really cool buck!

"Gunna go with 6-8 years old. The front incisors are really beat up, probably not able to bite off grasses and browse very efficiently. You did this guy a favor.

Around 10-12 you begin to get the last premolar even with the gum line and usually has a noticeable dip in the molar. "

This just in,,the guy spent a career checking game along with other FWP duties.

Congrats Oak - can you chase one of those over here into 19? Heading out in the am to see if we can put the hurtin on something similiar. Great pics - great buck!

Starting to think maybe he was just a jokester?

Obviously not that old of deer. His front forks are pretty weak. Should have let him go another year ;). Seriously though, great buck. Congrats. Any pictures from the front?
