The molars don't look too bad, but those incisors are haggard! Kinda surprising to see the difference in them. Congrats on a really cool buck!

"Gunna go with 6-8 years old. The front incisors are really beat up, probably not able to bite off grasses and browse very efficiently. You did this guy a favor.

Around 10-12 you begin to get the last premolar even with the gum line and usually has a noticeable dip in the molar. "

This just in,,the guy spent a career checking game along with other FWP duties.

Obviously not that old of deer. His front forks are pretty weak. Should have let him go another year . Seriously though, great buck. Congrats. Any pictures from the front?

I'd guess 4- 5 1/2 year old with a high tannin diet. Cedar, pine, or acorns.

I don't think Oak killed this buck in Georgia.

Doubt they have snow there, so you are probably correct.

After learning a few more facts, I'd guess it died from lead poisoning.
