Wow ,116 in SLO is San Miguel temps. I remember a high of 108 was extremely high for SLO. I remember 115 @ Santa Margarita Lake.

90 2 days ago, smoke & wind all day yesterday, & heavy rains by nightfall. Just above freezing this morn.

I'm sure as you know none of us have AC here so trying to sleep in an apartment with the windows closed from the smoke and it being 87 deg in your room at night has been quite uncomfortable.

Hit 95F two days ago....high of 54F yesterday and today in IA....coldest Sept 8th since 1885 or something like that.

Sure it's a dry heat, like a flaming torch on your bolls! ha, ha!
So you go to the lake, and the water is almost as hot.
The only respite is the wind, now there is a dry heat, kinda like riding a motorcycle into an oven.

But it's better than being cold!

Went from my kind of weather all summer in Valdez and Soldotna to 88 back here in Butler Pa yesterday.
My daughter works at the Charles Paddock zoo in Atascadero and she was telling me what real hot feels like.

I'll take 113 in a dry environment every day over 95 & 95% humidity Any day ! Been in both.

I'm jealous. Not of the weather, but of the country. If it weren't so dam cold, i'd be a Montanan. I just don't understand how you folks deal with the winters...
