My crew says I drive faster on dirt roads than on the Interstate. I've seen the look of fear in their eyes a time or two and we come around a New Mexico road with the a hard sideways slant. This morning as they talked about my offroad speeds, they were having some second thoughts about a Raptor, thinking it will increase their heart rate on those dark early morning races to the trailhead.

Hard not to think of the fear in their eyes as CW MCall and Earl come down Wolf Creek Pass when you hear.....

I looked on out of the window
And I started countin' phone poles
Going by at the rate of four to the seventh power

And added twelve and carried five
Come up with twenty two thousand telephone poles an hour

Hey Randy, I remember riding with you in northern New Mexico before our elk hunt started a few years back. You had e-scouted an area and we started up a drainage. It became a not-untypical southwestern 2-track with a drop-off on one side. You t-u-r-n-e-d a-r-o-u-n-d! Heck - that was nothing compared to many of the pucker power routes I've survived here in Arizona. 'Course no snow is usually involved on most of our hunts ('tho it was a different story elk hunting NW of Flagstaff last Thanksgiving). Best of luck with the new ride! I'm sure it will serve you well ...
