The NYT has a very well written article titled "A New Breed of Hunters Focuses on the Food"
The piece tells the story of two young people who have embraced hunting as a means of putting food on the table. Wade Truong and his girlfriend Rachel Owen, did not grow up hunting, but by meeting good folks who helped them get started, they worked at it and have now made hunting a foundation of their lives and their relationship.
These kind of people are the hope for the future of hunting, and by extension the hope for our Public Lands.
So remember, give a young person a helping hand. Get them out onto into the field and onto Public Lands. Get them in the fight to protect THEIR lands and get them in the fight to protect THEIR wildlife.
