Rented a house on the beach, near Homer. First evening.

Hopped aboard the "Fiskr Valhalla" = Fish Heaven, with Captain Carl and his son Cody.




A lot of fish landed.


Halibut, Salmon, Cod
Nice 1st day! We are going out for two more trips. Cody, the fish Ninja fillets the catch on the way back.

We saw whales, Orca's, A sea lion slapping halibut on the surface and sea otter everywhere. An awesome day!

Our 3rd & last day fishing, I told Captain Carl I was good on cod. Lets go for King Salmon & Halibut. Caught those and many other speices. A lot of fish returned to the sea.

Then we eat! Miso cod & eggplant. Shishito peppers grown in the Alaskan greenhouse.



This outing was awesome! Spotted moose & sheep on the way down to Homer. A black bear ran across the road near anchor point. Bald eagles all about.

Came home with 360 lbs, vac pack fish. Love these type of outings.

Homer is the best!
My wife and I went up 15 years ago.
Fished for 3 weeks solid.
Salmon, Dolly Varden, Ling Cod, and Halibut.
Is the eagle lady still there?

Looks like an awesome trip. I suppose you were not in south central PA this last Friday then? I ask because on my way home from work I passed a going-to-low pickup truck with an Alaska license plate. I thought this was fake news until I saw a hitch emblem of the orange paw. I thought was that the guy on HT? Now I see this post and spotted the Pittsburgh sweatshirt in the photo. The coincidences are piling up.

Sighted Otters, Orca's, Whales, Eagles and more. Did this for 3 days in Homer.
