Behold the Garage and woodshed. Garage is Concrete tip up walls, wood framed rafters, shingles are 7 years old. Building built in 1942. It is what it is and won't be removed.

The Woodshed is built as a Lean-to off the garage and is full of rotten beams, on an uneven and un level concrete surface and measures roughly 11' wide x 12' long. The roof doesn't leak. It sits on the North side of the Garage and the open part of the cement adjacent to it gets green, damp and mossy in the winter... The shed holds gardening equipment and supplies, Wood for the Firepit, my smoker on a rollout toobox, and paint and painting supplies.

The Cyclone fence is a kennel fenced roughly 8ft wide by 14 ft long

Now my houseis up to the edge of the side walk that goes in front of the garage.

My WANT is a 12x16 Gable eave shed to replace the 11x12 woodshed. The Dog Kennel would be replaced by 2 5x10 kennels on the north side of the woodshed.

MY QUESTIONS:
1) Should I build the shed free standing or go to the extra effort of tying in the gable perpendicular to the garage ridgeline
2) Should I have the shed with a wood floor or anchored to concrete?
2a) If concrete should I jackhammer up the 70 year old concrete and pour a new, smooth concrete floor 12x16 or use the rough but stable existing slab?

1) tie it to gable, save on wasted space and a walls worth of material
2-3)concrete…. Leave existing functional, stable slab

…. My quick reaction advice, worth price charged
