I was kind of surprised by this one...I thought it would basically be another Black Beauty-esque "me and my horse" film, but it was actually quite a bit more than that. I enjoyed it despite having a jaded attitude going in. Viggo Mortensen continues to impress me by transforming himself into his characters rather than transforming the characters into himself. Four spikes altogether.
