My wife gave me some antique fishing stuff for Christmas, some of it was from Herter's. That was a blast from the past, I used to look at their catalogs for hours as a kid. Any of you guys order from them?

I have a Herter's shotgun shell reloader, handed down from my Dad. I haven't used it for close to 55 years.

I used to have one of George L. Herter's catalogs from the early 70's. Sadly I don't know what happened to it.

Used to order a lot of duck hunting stuff from them, decoys, decoy paint, replaceable decoy heads (part of having young hunters).

From my mom's neighborhood of Waseca, Minn. George Herter was a legend. Who else could get away with writing a book called "How to Live With A Bitch." I've got a 1974 catalog somewhere that I learned to read on. He was one great copy writer.

Remember my Grandfather ordering fly tying materials from them back in the 60's. I also ordered from them up until the 90's.

I have a friend who found a Herter's recurve bow in a pawnshop; pretty nice bow. I think they actually made them in house.
