Some smart locals have finally figured out people aren't going to visit Custer County to look at overgrazed dirt covered with cow shit! As long as they keep the fat assed ATV ridin' Blue Ribbon morons outta there they oughta do ok. People aren't gonna want to be listening to ATVs roaring around the Wilderness either.

"give Custer County a boost by offering the nation what it wants — open space and wilderness "

And after all those people visit there they're gonna wanna catch salmon, too.

just got back from southern utah, and they had hundred`s of ATV trail`s going thru the forest, it was a very well regulated and enforced, it kept the ATV`S off the main road`s and on their own turf [like city bike path`s] many family`s out enjoying a nice trail ride. also fished otter creek res. caught 4 big hog trout UTAH it`s a beautiful state . nice place for offroading.

cjcj,

Sounds like you had a good time. Great!

I got in a little riding this last weekend too. Had a blast with my boys and some friends up around Elk River. Lots of good riding up in that area.

United we stand. Divided we’re banned.
Across the country, ATV use is threatened by irrational legislation and regulations urged by environmental extremists and poorly informed citizens. It doesn't have to be that way. The key to protecting our future is a strong national organization like the ATVA working hand in hand with other off-highway-vehicle rights groups and individual riders nationwide. Our motto is, “United we stand. Divided we’re banned.”

Through our own targeted legislative and regulatory programs, and those of affiliated organizations, we work to educate lawmakers and regulators. We influence issues from the national level all the way down to the local. Wherever your rights are threatened, we're here to help. If you ever have a problem, contact the ATVA at: [email protected]

The ATVA and the American Motorcyclist Association both benefit from knowledgeable and persistent government relations specialists in our offices in Ohio and Washington, D.C. Together with these specialists, we work with local contacts to get to the heart of your problems and fix them whenever we can.

You can also do your part to keep trails open for off-highway vehicle use by following the ATVA Members' Commitment to Responsible Riding.

well don`t let rockydog hear of this ,he states in another post that ATV`S are the worst thing to EVER happen to hunting, him buzz and ithaca just plain don`t get it, that`s what happen`s when you spend too much time in school [lifetime student] instead of the REAL world.

cjcj, I bet in an average month I spend more time in the field than you do in a year.

Its nice to know that my four year degree in Forestry makes me a "lifetime student". I guess in a way you may be right, theres plenty to learn all the time...shallow minds and shallow water freeze first...

I took my last college course in 1994, nearly ten years ago...but I continue to learn stuff everyday...like what I've learned about you for instance. You are the case study in the exact reason why I went to college...

well i`m retired and i`m sure i spend twice the time outdoor`s than you do , i wouldn`t count the time you spend in that section the gov`t has asigned you to watch over.

cjcj, I wonder if you spend 200+ days a year working in the woods? I bet not.

I also wonder if you spend another 30-40 days a year hunting (probably about that scouting too), then theres fishing during the slow time? I bet not.

But if you want to say you spend more time in the woods than me, I'll believe you.

But then again lloyd. You have a federal job with over a month of vacation and a wife who is the main bread winner.

Am I correct?

You are correct Mule, and life is good.

The jealousy is really showing through.

Yep, my big faults are:

1. having a great looking wife who hunts and kills big critters.

2. having a great looking wife that also is intelligent and makes good money...thats really a bad deal there.

3. having a government job that allows me to be in the woods just about every day, getting paid an excellent wage, great retirement, insurance, and at least 6 weeks of paid vacation.

What am I thinking?

I should just be a loudmouth divorced drunk ass like you, then I'd really have it together.

Mule, me and you and the other back woods hicks would have a hard time measuring up to Buzz's smarts, but he might have a hard time measuring up to the fun and good life WE have.
Own my own little Rancho and store. Lock the door and go fishin when want to.
Bought my own lil' place on the river so I can go fishin there when I want to.
Got a great, well educated, smart wife 13 years younger with a super job that makes 5 times what I do now.
Started getting my "socialist security" for a little extra fun money.
Have a good friend with a King Air that will fly me anywhere I want to go.
Live in good state [ no state income tax]right in the middle of big oak and pecan trees with several good rivers and lakes.
Every thing I have is paid for and have lil' extra in the bank.
Could shoot deer and turkey right off the front porch any day.
Go to Vegas and "poof off" any time I care to.
Got three GOOD kids that have good business heads and make good livings.
Oh yeah, do have one of them there ATV's
But best of all , got LOTS of good friends!!
Bragging a little, shore nuff!!!Pretty durn good life fur a know nothin hick.!!!

MEATHEAD, come on over and we'll sit on the porch and spit and whittle, welcome anytime. Just got a new Jon boat and motor for the river and if it'll rain the yellow cats will bite. Got the perch and gold fish just waitin'. Ol Bob

Bob, to keep in line with Mule, I think I should ridicule you for having a wife that makes that much money...why you're an idiot for putting up with that!

Look at what I have to put up with! For our honeymoon trip my wife dragged me to Alaska kicking and screaming.

We started out the trip with some halibut/sea bass/salmon fishing...

Then we toured around cook inlet, played tourist in Anchorage for a few days...then the torture of being married really got to me...so I headed out to hunt some sheep.

While I hunted sheep my wife toured Denali NP, then we had to get home for hunting in MT. The rest of that first year of being married was really bad...I only got to hunt enough to kill a 6 foot black bear, 5 point bull, a Shiras bull moose, 14 inch antelope, 5x5 whitetail.

I also had to put up with helping my wife bag her first antelope buck and mule deer buck...so demanding!

Yep, my life is a wreck!

Yea Buzz you are a lucky fella to have such a tyrant ruining your life like that
wink.gif
.

Bob is a lucky fella with his wife too. Getting to do all the fun things he does like the Vegas trips.

cjcj, insecure???, HAHAHAHAHA

I dont think so, and I dont give a shit that you think so either.

You see normally people that are insecure give a crap what other people think of them, I dont.

I would have thought you've read enough of my posts to realize that. Whatever dude!
