So I am going to New Orleans in September for a LSU game. We will be staying in NO and traveling to Baton Rouge for gameday.

Anything anyone can suggest for our trip down there? We are looking for activities, restaurants, etc...

Thanks

Any cheap hunting that time of year?

I love to eat. Cafe Du Monde just off of Jackson Square has the best beignets (kinda like donuts).

it's a nice place to visit.

good luck to all

depending on when you go, teal season may be open and you can probably get a combo teal hunt fishing trip. go on louisianasportsman.com and look for guide data. Dove season opens labor day weekend typically. Archery Deer is not until October.

If you are a history buff, the DDay Museum is fantastic, I can spend all day in there, but the wife can't :)

There is the audubon zoo, the aquarium, obviously the french quarter.

My favorite place to eat in New Orleans is GW Fins, there are numerous great places to eat in New Orleans, Check Trip Advisor for the latest ratings and you will get some local input.

This is just scratching the surface obviously, hope it helps. Feel free to PM me if you need to.

I would suggest draggo's for char broiled oysters ( the best) There is a location in the Hilton on river walk.

The Marriott has a great Sunday brunch but so do many places down there.

For lunch hit Mothers. Good eats.

Sorry you have to watch a LSU game. Roll tide!

Seriously have fun, nothing better than SEC football. I have tickets for the bama/ Michigan game sept 1st.
