Watching the House Fish & Game committee meeting today, I learned that the public participation/messaging feature on the Legislature's website isn't working. The bad news is, if you sent a comment through the website, they didn't get it and you need to send emails to the committee members individually. The good news is, they didn't take executive action on the bill today, and there's more time to spread the word to your friends to contact the committee members. Please reach out to your friends and have them contact the committee and ask them to vote No on the bill.

Committee members:

Please clarify and elaborate. I sent messages through the Legislative Services website, with a website response to me that the message(s) was submitted. Was that in error?
Please explain source of information and what "isn't working".
Sounds like it was just that particular legislator that wasn’t getting the messages and it has been fixed now.

I thought everyone was wanting to vote yes on that measure?

"(10) (a) The commission may not close the hunting of mule deer bucks during the general hunting 26 season: 27 28 (i) in more than 20% of hunting districts in the state in a given season; (ii) for more than 2 years within a 6-year period in any one hunting district; or (iii) in any hunting district prior to November 6 (b) This subsection (10) does not apply to any district restriction on mule deer buck hunting that 3 4 was in place prior to December 1, 2024."

As of now - the commission can change seasons/dates in accordance with feedback from FWP and the public. This limits it to whats copied above.

Worst we have to rely on the legislature to change laws based on their constiuents feedback in the future if it doesnt work out.

Legislature moves like old people ... drive :)
