Totally agree.
When people watch to many hunting shows this is what you get. Also social media has had a big part in this.
People make the mistake of comparing their deer to what they see on these outlets. I try to tell people that most of us average guys don't have the kind of properties that produce mega bucks. No matter how hard you hunt you can't kill a 170" buck if one doesn't exist where you hunt.
People have lost the joy of hunting when they get caught up in trying to feel valid on social media. Very sad.

On the binary scale - the only scoring system I have or will ever recognize - with a 0 being NO and a 1 being YES, all of the deer pictured on this topic, including the original, are solid 1s which means I am shooting every time.

My buddy owns a taxidermy shop. You should see the stuff he mounts. Stuff I would hang in the rafters but everyone has their own definition of "trophy". And they all pay the same as he says!

I picked up and dropped off at my taxidermist on Tuesday and I was amazed at the size deer people spend $800 to shoulder mount. As long as they're happy, who gives a shit.
