I took this morning off work to spend a little more time on a lek. Sleeping in the blind was a little cold, but got a few shots. They made sure I was awake at 4:11.

So far, my lek counts are a little low. Max male numbers usually escalate during April, so too early to tell at this time.

I set my blind up the evening prior. Walked into the blind around 9pm. I am sure you could set up your blind and walk in very early in the morning (4 or 5am). This is a pretty small lek, but very concentrated.

I'm still running into more each time I'm out, I'm hoping I hit a peak soon. A couple of the ones I check on are getting crowded and a little hard to count/keep track of.

I've watched the sharptail equivalent and hope to again in a couple of weeks but this is the first I have seen pictures of the Sage Grouse event.
