And I thought ghost peppers burnt on the way out!

But seriously, how freekin cool is it that they post a picture of kids deers in the local paper. My wife and all her siblings pictures were in the local paper after their first!

It used to be a thing. I had my pic in the local paper with my first deer. They made sure to point out that I gave the buck a sporting chance by killing it with the 3rd shot.

Local papers around here still do it, hope it doesn’t go away anytime soon.

My hunting buddy got his in the paper this fall, he just got a letter out of the blue this week from his state House rep congratulating him along with a clipping. Kind of a cool.

Our weekly newspaper is very good about covering the outdoors and publishing deer and turkey harvest pictures. They are supposed to cover the news and the big buck or who killed what is usually the talk of the town during hunting season.

I can’t imagine going to that length to kill a turkey, but I’m sure it was all a “stunt” for likes, followers and sponsors. I’ve got a couple nice decoys and I don’t think I’ve ever killed a bird with them set up
It's actually a super popular method now. I've never seen a head worn one, but lots of guys have it on a stake they hold in their hand or it goes on their shotgun so they can sneak in on turkeys. They're not very bright so it ends up working a lot. I haven't tried it, but lots of locals do it and swear by it.

It's called turkey reaping for anyone interested.

Tell me that doesn't look exciting...

"They're not very bright." The turkey or the hunter?

You folks still have a newspaper?

I'd want to be wearing a shotgun pellet resistant helmet and face mask with that. Yikes..
